This one of a kind antique victorian genuine Italian horsehair watch chain has 8 portrait/ photographs, circa 1875. They are each aprox .75 inch in diameter and have intricately braided horsehair frames. From clasp to ring is 14″ . Included are both photographs of men and women – and according to the provenance that comes with it include “Dad in Italian Army, Aunt Josephine & Grandma Riva. This was purchased at an estate sale of an antique dealer in Los Angeles. Her tag said it was appraised at $800 – but we are unclear as to when it was appraised for that. It is certainly a rare and special and one of a kind item. Thank you.
