The previous owner just turned 88 & this was made by her in junior high school, so it dates from the 40s. It is a open cuff style bangle bracelet. Not quite a perfect semi-circle.

See photos. Fits about a 7 ” wrist, maybe up to 7/3/4 “. 1 1/4 ” wide. It has light wear on the blank portion by the hinge, but not bad, so one knows it is not a new import piece. Good to Excellent condition.
It is made from anodized aluminum wire and has caged mulitcolor glass beads throughout the woven design. It is not signed and it weighs 104 grams. Many of these pieces are hard to find so don’t miss this opportunity.
Vintage WWII Era 1940s US Military Trench Art Handmade Aluminum Sweetheart Cuff Bracelet Bremerhaven Germany “My Darling” Circa 1940s, World War II era. Sweetheart cuff bracelet handmade by a soldier stationed in Germany during WWII. As a gift for his sweetheart or loved one back home, he artfully forged and engraved the aluminum cuff (often from plane parts) with a heart, “My Darling” and the city where he was (“Bremerhaven, Germany”). Bracelet measures approximately 1 inch, at widest point. Will fit a standard size wrist. Note: aluminum is not as easily adjustable as other metals, but it could be adjusted carefully to be slightly larger or smaller. In good condition. Please see all photos.
