Lincoln Zinc-Coated Steel Cent Cufflinks. In 1943 the Treasury Department resorted to these zinc-coated steel cents. This was due to a shortage of copper during the critical war year. Regular mintage resumed in 1944. These stainless steel cufflinks containing the steel cent, provide a nice contrast.
About This Piece: ver unusual leather, square cufflinks in matching carrying/ presentation snap case. No maker’s mark, but case is stamped Made in England.
