Unusual 1875 Gold Double Push Mechanical Pin or Button & Porcelain Portrait. I think the outer case is 14k gold and it passes the gold test. This is a bit of a mystery to me. The inside mechanism of the pin reads Pat Pending Nov. 1875. There are 2 tabs on the outside case area and when pushed together, the back clasp comes off and this can be attached to a button hole. The portrait is hand painted on porcelain. The portrait looks a bit like Joan of Arc. No chips or damage. Please see the many photos for all item images and measurements. Buyer pays shipping which is $4.95
